The Caregiving Kids Series was born from the author's experience. The series will challenge the culture and belief systems of those who wish to throw away and dishonor our older adults. Clarissa Fells Smith was a young occupational therapist who began practicing in communities, nursing homes, and healthcare facilities. The author was exposed to caring for elders as a young child. Clarissa Fells Smith was always emotionally disturbed about witnessing so much abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the elderly. Four decades later, the author decided to do something globally to affect change.

The Caregiving Kids Series includes more than 50 additional titles and is deeply committed to advancing family caregiving awareness. Its vision is to teach and advocate for older adults internationally. These stories are invaluable for fostering intergenerational understanding and love, which is so needed in our cultures today. The author, Clarissa Fells Smith believes that how we treat elders is a measuring stick for a humane society.
